Site News Archive

WordPress has been integrated with the site. One change to site structure. The .html pages are now .php pages. That’s not a problem since I haven’t coded many absolute urls into the site.

Wait, there’s more. What this really means boils down to 2 things.

1: When I post to the news catagory on the blog, that post will show up on the other pages, listed as “Site News” in the sidebar.

2: That means WordPress, or more accuratly the News catagory in WordPress, will be FanaticSpace.com ’s  Site News Archive.

Wordpress Inclusion

I’m trying to include this blog with other parts of my site. More specifically, I’m trying to use wordpress as my news page. If I can access it from a php call and use the latest post in the “news” catagory as a blurb on my pages, it’d be great.

CSS/PHP Blues

Ok, I installed a comic managment system, SomeryC to be exact. Things were going great until I tried the link to post a comment on my coming soon “comic”. The css broke and the comment form wouldn’t even show up. I’ve been tangling with it for a while now. I’m sure it’s something small… like changing the size of something, but I just can’t find it.

Edited to add: Ok found the problem, fixed it. Comments work now.

Getting started.

I’m just getting my site set up and decided to add a blog. It may stay, it may not. It really depends on how useful it turns out to be.

I’m thinking of opeing it up to people. Letting people who may visit the site regularly add post. Reviews and Articles. That why I added the blog. It seemed like it might be an easy way to do that.
