I thought it was extremely well done. Like you, Christopher Eccelston was my favorite Doctor. I think Martha Jones is okay, but she's marginalized. She's like an extra appendage. I think the actress (Freema Agymen) does as well as she could be expected to do, given the nature of her character in the stories. But I miss Rose and Billie Piper as well. David Tennant has either grown on me, or he grows into the role as time goes on...I'm not sure which. He's smoother in his role as the 10th Doctor, IMO, than Christopher Eccleston. I do miss Christopher Eccleston's more over the top briliant insanity as the 9th Doctor. I can see why he left, though. He would surely have run the danger of being typecast, as his Doctor was a nonpareil. I know that Martha Jones is replaced...and I have looked at some youtubes of her stuff. We are resolutely continuing in order, though. So I won't have much to say about her until later. I wonder who the 11th Doctor will be when David Tennant leaves after 2010?
