"...types of abilities can be passed down."

So yeah, pretty much.

How about Micah? His powers do not match nor are similar to either D.L or Nikki's. Or did you say SOME powers are closely related.

By the way, what's Kaito Nakamura's and Angela Pertelli's power? Is Angela's power to dream of the future? And who the hell is Micah's grandmother? What power does she have?

Just to be clear, what I said was "We’ve also seen that types of abilities can be passed down."

Types of abilities.

I think that if Claire is Adam's((great) grand) daughter, then these are going to be pointed to as some of the clues we were given. It's not subtle, no, but it is the type of clue you'd see in comics and on TV.

I still think Mohinder continues to be close, but ultimately wrong.

I'm just glad to see people talking about it. *L*

To Josh:

Jodie was saying that it is incorrect that the abilities aren't passed down as the same abilities.

Ie. 2xKnight saying that Nathan flying and West flying is a direct ability pass down, and saying that Claire isn't Nathans daughter because she lacks the ability to fly.

Jodie was saying that the same ability is not passed, just the DNA to have an ability of their own more than anything.
Some don't even gather abilities like Sylar, that we now know as the son of Angela, was never given an initial ability that I can recall, nor find anything about online.

Just my opinion on the matter.

Jodie,

I have to call you out on being completely wrong about that one. If you look at the 'Heroes' character line you will realize that their abilities ARE genetically passed down. This is true of EVERY character. Think about it:

Peter Petrelli -- Nathan Petrelli -- Angela Petrelli -- Their Dad (all have abilities)

Hiro Nakamura -- Kaito Nakamura (both had abilities)

Clare Bennett -- Her Mom (again)

Niki Sanders -- D.L. -- Micah -- Micah's Grandmother --Micah's cousin (all of them have abilities)

So basically it DOES run in the family. You are quite uninformed to be so self-righteous and condescending.

Good point Josh. If they remember having a daughter, how could it have been a boy?

Simple.

The Twelve have someone that can manipulate peoples minds. Maury Parkman, Matt's dad. He can alter peoples perception and possibly their memories. Shouldn't be much of a problem to make 'em think they had a girl when their kid now is a girl.

Just another note, both Nathan and Claire's mother (whose name escapes me) clearly remembered having a daughter, not a son

@Jodie Well, I'll make a note of that for the future.

While I'm at it I'll also make sure to note that Mohinder Suresh, or his father, have the power of never being wrong. I wonder which one it is? Hmmm... must be his dad, because Mohinder has been wrong a lot.

Edited to add:

Wow, that came across kind of bitchy didn't it? I didn't mean it that way. I was just trying to make the point that I believe there are critical mistakes in the Suresh research. I don't think powers are random. There would be far too many coincidences if that were the case.

well, you must not be a heroes fan then or pay attention very well. if you remember in season 1, they get their powers at random. they can't be PASSED DOWN!!!!!!!! Suresh or his father proved this. It is random selection. Pay attention more is all i can say.
