dollhouse0103Grrrr arrrrghhhh! I wish I could be one of those reviewers that has lots of insight. Or at least someone who can recap an episode of Dollhouse and make it exciting. I don’t want to just keep saying rah, rah, rah, sis boom bam, we love Joss, he’s our man. I just can’t seem to help myself.

Part of the reason that I wish I could make my reviews more exciting is because more people should be watching this show. The ratings should be double what they are, and not just because last night’s episode, “Stage Fright,” was written by Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen of Dr. Horrible fame. You know I’m not going to spoil you, cause people don’t always like that, but I think this was the best episode yet.

First of all, we found out a couple of things Read more

Alan TudykIn my post last week, I meant to mention a couple more things and then I got to waxing lyrical (for that read, blathering on and on) and completely forgot.

I have a word or two to say about ratings generally, and, in particular, about Dollhouse’s ratings.

Friday night’s ratings always suck. Being on TV on Friday nights is like the kiss of death. Most people go out on Friday nights. Look, I’m a total geek with no life whatsoever and even I’ve been known to go out on the occassional Friday night.

So that being said, even looking at the numbers, which Read more

Watch Dollhouse: Dollhouse – The Target

Dollhouse is not Buffy. It’s not Buffy, it’s not Angel, it’s not Firefly. It’s definitely not Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. It’s just not.

My point is this, Dollhouse is its very own self. I enjoyed the second episode, “The Target” even more than I did the first episode. From what I’ve heard about the next several episodes, the show is going to get even better. Honestly, what show doesn’t get better as it goes along, as the characters grow and change and learn to relate to themselves and each other better. That’s what makes us fall in love with a show, makes us look forward to watching each and every week, makes us fans.

Personally, as I’m watching, even from the very beginning, as I watch the beginning credits roll, I get a warm and fuzzy Read more

josswhedon3First of all, let me apologize. I haven’t been around for a while and all I can say is that life got in the way. But so much fun stuff has been happening in the Whedonverse and I just need to share. You’ve probably heard, but in case you haven’t, Joss has a new show, Dollhouse, which just premiered on Friday, February 13 at 9 pm on Fox. Each week, I’m going to be reviewing and/or recapping the eps. If you missed it on Friday, you can still watch the ep on Hulu.

I’m also going to link you to my Dollhouse review for the first ep at Watching CW.

Here is a link to Paul and Storm’s Geek Madness. What, you may ask, is Geek Madness? Well, here’s what their website says, “A 64-competitor single-elimination tournament to determine the first appointee to the new cabinet position of ‘Secretary of Geek Affairs.’” Both Joss Whedon and Felicia Day are winning, but they need your votes! Of course, once it’s Joss vs. Felicia, Joss wins.

Who is Doctor Who?

who_logo  At over 900 years of age, he has worn many faces, traveled with a variety of different companions and battled a cornucopia of villains.  Since 1963, the role of Doctor Who has been played by ten, soon to be eleven, different actors on television.  A twelfth actor, Peter Cushing, portrayed the Doctor in two cinematic films.  Each of these actors has molded the character a little bit, making it their own.  Each of these Doctors has been unique and special in their own way.  Every fan has their personal favorite.  I would like to spend the next few weeks exploring each Doctor individually.

Zombies Ahead Road Sign
Some Texas motorists have been surprised to see road signs with very strange messages lately. The signs have been warning of zombie outbreaks. More than likely this is the work of individuals with more humor than sense.

However…

Just in case it isn’t the work of stoners after a George Romero Marathon, we at FanaticSpace.com would like to offer a few road safety reminders.
