About Rinda

My name is Linda Smith but I go by Rinda around here. I’m a genuine geek girl in every respect. I have been a fan of all things science fiction, horror and fantasy since I was a teen. I’ve become a huge anime fan in recent years as well. My love of all things fandom started at an early age when I discovered science fiction/fantasy conventions as a teenager. There, I found not only other fans, but a world revolving around Star Trek, Star Wars and Doctor Who. I never looked back!

Television/Movies:

I love science fiction, fantasy and horror. I was weaned on Star Trek and Monty Python. Star Wars, Indiana Jones and all those wonderful 80’s horror movies only deepened my love of the genre. On television, I adored Doctor Who. I find that British television has a special place in my heart.

Writing:

I love to write. Writing for me is a not just a love. It’s a need. I write both original work as well as fanfiction. Through writing, I’m able to express myself completely. I’ve been writing since I was young. I believe my love of writing stems from my love of books. Reading is a passion of mine.

Anime/Manga:

I first started watching anime back in the bad old days when it was still known as Japanimation. Luckily, anime and I have both grown up a bit. I discovered manga as outgrowth of my love of anime. I wanted more. Manga often goes into more detail and depth than the anime so naturally I loved it, too.
