I’ve wanted to see The Host from the first time I saw the trailer. I was finally able to get hold of it recently. Could it really live up to that kind of promise? I was kind of skeptical, because that trailer is awesome. This had to be an example of the ads being better that the movie. Right?

 Doctor Who…a man of many faces, spanning decades, and uniting fans of all ages.  You would be hard pressed to find someone who hasn’t at least heard of the Doctor.  Most who have seen the series either are fans or soon become fans.  It’s hard to resist.  A delightful combination of science fiction, fantasy, humor, horror and a charismatic central character that carries viewers on a trip through time and space each week.

It’s time for another fannish sci-fi movie review. We went to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull . It was part of my birthday celebration. You might be familiar with the AFI Top 100 list. Every year they publish a top 100 list of movies as well as produce a TV show that goes over the list. The best thing about it though is that it can be a great way to get arguments started among movie fans. This year, there will be more arguments then ever.
